   UL CyberPark

UL CyberPark, proposed to be all set by 2012 - the first IT park in Kozhikode, albeit the first IT Special Economic Zone in Malabar region - the first fully green LEED certified IT Park in Kerala  - and the first to its credentials, convey that UL CyberPark is not in an already crowded metro competing for resources, but in a small clean city with resources aplenty, and a promise towards rich “work life balance”.

Having successfully built and marketed Technopark (in the southern region) and Infopark (in the central region), and convinced about the potential in this region, the Government of Kerala, consented to the proposal put forward  and has launched Cyberpark for the IT development of the northern region. Technopark, while expanding its base at Thiruvananthapuram, is also developing a smaller centre in Kundara, Kollam District. Along similar lines, Infopark while expanding its base in Kochi is developing smaller facilities in Ambalapuzha, Cherthala and Koratty. This innovative hub and spoke model has already captured the attention of IT and ITeS investors and Cyberpark would follow suit with facilities in Kannur and Malappuram.

The association of  IT companies in Kozhikode had created a ‘Come back to Kozhikode’ campaign, which has inspired many IT migrants to Bangalore and other metros, return to their home town and take up jobs in the existing IT companies in Kozhikode. Kozhikode has provided better lifestyle through lower cost of living, hassle free commuting and thereby savings in time which in turn to be utilized for better purposes, and the much needed support system in the form of parents and extended family.

UL CyberPark has slogan to read “Welcome to Kozhikode – the city of immense possibilities”.  We welcome investors from small to large Indian and multinational IT/ITeS companies to come, explore and avail the multi-faceted benefits of Kozhikode, and job seekers to take up employment here and enjoy work life balance. National Association for Software and Services companies  has an active presence in Kozhikode with many member companies.

UL CyberPark is planned as a 25 acre IT sector specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ);  over  70% of the land will be utilized for the processing area and around 27% of the land for non processing and residential purposes.

The park is developed by ULCCS, a co-operative society formed in 1925. ULCCS believes in participative development and treat all the stake holders like consultants, vendors, contractors and their workforce fairly and equally. This can be seen in all the projects undertaken so far, and UL CyberPark will carry forward the same policy.

ULCCS believes that to ensure inclusive and accelerated growth, various sections of the society should work together with Government in this proactive nation building exercise. The proposal for UL CyberPark is based on the strengths of the support-infrastructure and the vision to provide a friendly and cost effective IT/ITeS environment to the investors.. learn more
