ULCCS Ltd. currently has 658 members and 1619 non-members who contribute to the success of the Society. Participation in the work undertaken by the Society is mandatory for the membership. This ensures that wholehearted co-operation from all members is available in all activities of the Society. Members are paid weekly wages as per the quantum of the work undertaken by them during the week. A part of the wage earned will be contributed to the strengthening of membership in the Society.

This amount forms a thrift fund, which at the year-end will be converted as share capital.  The share capital contribution of a member to the Society will continuously increase due to this and will also protect Society from labour turnover, a major nemesis in construction industry. As the stake of the workers increases continuously, their dedication to the philosophy and welfare of the Society also increases with time.  It is heartening to note that, due to these innovative ways of comradeship, ULCCS Ltd. did not lose even a single workday in the past 8 decades due to labour unrest. In addition to wages, the Society also undertakes specific measures to ensure the welfare of its members throughout their lifetime. The unique bonding of the members achieved due to these measures, is the corner stone of success of ULCCS Ltd. 

Another unique feature of the society is its administration. The Board of Management consists of 10 Directors headed by the President who are elected from the members. The President and Directors are well experienced with an average experience of 30 years. One of the distinctive features is that the directors are also paid on daily wage basis similar to other members. But their round the clock engagement for the welfare of the firm as Director and the responsibility they are taking for the welfare of the firm is only a service they are offering to the organization. The Board meets every night between 8pm and 9pm to evaluate day’s work and scrutinize vouchers and records submitted by the leaders from various work sites and also sanction the required amount for the next. Reviews of the entire worksites are done, including the process and the hurdles to be overcome, methodology etc. The Secretary and other staff members and technical team assist the Board of Directors.

Like in the case of Societies of similar kind, a Board of Directors elected from the members of the Society manages the activities of the Society.  Professional support is also sought at some specific positions, where it is necessary. Currently ULCCS Ltd. has 10 members in its Board. As ULCCS Ltd. restricts its membership only to the people who contribute directly to the work undertaken by the Society; all Directors are also full time workers with the Society. Different projects will be assigned to these Directors, who in turn will be responsible for the effective completion of the same.
